Strides Shines at Night (10/15)
Be a part of our 2nd Annual Strides Shines at Night on Sat., October 15th (7PM) on the West Steps, State Capitol (1303 10th Street, Sacramento), an inspirational evening where we will celebrate and remember those who have battled breast cancer by lighting up luminaria bags and displaying them on the steps of the Capitol. As the sun sets, we will have an uplifting ceremony, followed by the lighting of the paper lanterns. Light refreshments will be provided. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 16th (Registration: 7AM, Walk: 8AM) at West Steps, State Capitol (1303 10th Street, Sacramento), is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors! The walk also raises awareness about steps we can take to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer, raise money to help the American Cancer Society lead the fight against this disease with groundbreaking breast cancer research, and provides critical patient services and access to mammograms. Greater Sacramento Area Pastors' Encounter
Sacramento Area Pastors’ Encounter, a Christ-centered event where pastors can attend to the needs of their soul for rest and spiritual renewal, will be hosted at Christ the King Passionate Retreat Center (6520 Van Maren Lane, Citrus Heights) on (Tues/Wed) October 18-19 (9AM-5PM). Pastors will receive a taste of deeper intimacy with God through vision casting, hands-on experiences and Christian community.
